Do you guys think the curve on this one could be harder than last years? Or definitely not?

MelzidEril:
The numbers were 125,125,126,128,131

@melzid yea I don’t remember the sequence exactly but 155 was right for sure

@steve:

On the ti-84 or Ti-83, you just have to keep on doing 2nd, enter, over and over, but if you hit enter (like 2nd, enter, enter instead of 2nd, enter, 2nd, enter), then you have to start all over again. In fact, you lose some of the oldest stuff because you just created an extra step.

@ meldzil
IDK but the one we all got 155 for, you just had to do 100*1.05^9 to get the 10th term

I just checked my old 84 and it lets me scroll up too… weird

@bg17xc:
Thanks. OK, so mean was 127, mode would be 125, and median would be 126, so, as
hatersgonnahate said, mode<median<mean

Did you guys get 2- 1/n for the sum one?

@hatersgonnahate:
Yeah, the new operating systems let you do that on the TI-84.

@mickeym
yeah, I got 2-1/n, too

what about that one with f(x-2) +3

Ok so I omitted 2 got 1 wrong hopefully ill get 800 thanks guys!
Its funny because I live in Europe and we got the same test

@mickeym
Somehow I remember the 100th term being given as 12,500, but your solution implies that the first term was 100. Both give approx 155. I wonder where/how I got 12,500?!

@mickeym
Where in Europe do you live?
Earlier today, I saw an international June 2012 math level 2 thread and yes, they’ve been mentioning the same questions. A while back, I looked at some of the older threads, and that seems always to be the case.

@ meldzl
my exact answer was in the answer choices so maybe we are talking about a different question

@melzid
I live in france, would you mind giving me the link to that forum please?

@mickeyM:
I used to go to the American School of Milan.
Here’s the link:

what do you think the chances are of the 800 curve being 43?

That’s what it was last year and people say this year’s test was a little harder so I think the chances are solid.
