where did it say the laser came from? right underneath the center?

@idontgive but wasn’t the laser originally aimed at the center of the disk? So the new distance would just be tan(.05 deg)=x/1188000
so x=1036.7
distance from edge=987 ft

If the laser were originally aimed at the edge with an angle of .0024 and the error was .05, you would have no way of knowing which way the error was. So the degree could be .0524 OR .0476

The initial angle was 0 degrees: there wasn’t a triangle formed, they were just perpendicular.

want to get an 800, but 2 blank and 4 wrong…

cancel or no cancel?

think you’re right yea.

@ tryingtoohard That could still be an 800

What choice was -1/pi? As in was it choice D?

@trying 50 - 2 - 4(1.25) = 43… according to last year’s scale that’s an 800.

@magentaturtle either B or D I can’t remember

Each wrong question is minus 0.25, not 1.25.

omitted 8

Any chance I can come out with an 800? I’m pretty confidant the 42 I answered were correct. I didn’t really time myself during practices and took too long on the first few easy ones to double check if I was correct

Could you guys explain how you got -1/pi for 28 and 2sin(theta) for 32?

Hopefully it was D… Does anyone else remember if choice -1/pi was D

what was the one with the triangle rotated around the x axis?

^6pi, or about 18.8

@magenta that’s what i got…

For the problem with the letters ab and the absolute values all in a fraction… did you guys get b (as the actual value, not the letter of the answer)?

I omitted 10, similar situation with ahovahov. What is the highest score I could get?

what is 3 omitted and 3 wrong?

@Haters yes, b

ln x = e ^-x

x = 1.3

ln 1.3 = .26 which is close to .27.

i got -1/pi

absolute value question with a and b was b (the actual value, not the letter answer)

forgot a lot of the test
