i took everyone’s advice and took another barron’s practice test this afternoon (when I wasn’t exhausted) and scored a 690, within the time limit! i feel much better now. gonna study some more tonight and try to get a good amount of sleep!

Practice tests are so weird. I took one of collegeboard’s practice tests and got a 700. Then I worked on some stuff and took the other test and got a 720. Finally, yesterday evening, I took Kaplan’s second practice test. 580.

Hoping that the test will be nothing like that.

I get between 740-760 in Barrons and 800 in the Kaplan book… Watch, tomorrow Im going to end up with about a 700 haha

Just got a 730 on Barrons. Going to try to learn some easy things tonight that I keep losing points on, and maybe a few tricks on my calculator.

Ugh, I haven’t bought a fresh pair of batteries for my calc. I have an extra calculator but it has no graphing capabilities.

I just took a PR math II test (form B) and I missed like 20 questions. A lot of the questions according to PR should be solved by plugging-in, and there were A TON OF TRICKY QUESTIONS (unlike the official math II tests). Just how realistic is PR?

I just bombed a practice test. Confidence slipping away… :(

I recently bombed a Barron’s practice test but got an 800 (raw score 44) on a CB practice test. For me, it’s just a matter of thinking the problem through completely before starting and not making random careless errors.

can’t wait for tmrw :D

^Can’t wait to wake up at 6 am on a Saturday morning!

Work hard, everybody!

well, i plan on waking up at 7:15 ;). wake up, get ready, drive to school, take tests.

yeah all the error’s i’ve been making in barron’s are careless mistakes… I sometimes just don’t feel like checking my work for some reason… even if there’s time

anyone else have this problem lol

All nighter…good or bad idea ?

depends on how good you are at cramming, do some cost benefit analysis

if you’re an effective crammer i suggest you cram

I can’t wait too!
—Doing well except for those stupid mistakes where you have a bunch of factors or terms in one problem and it takes a while to check.
The problems haven’t posed an issue yet, but rather 2-3 mistakes in one test, but good thing that is still an 800

Check your work. Tediously, every factor.

Use “shortcuts” if they’ve worked before, don’t just make new ones without checking to see if it works.

Abuse the Ti-89 =D, it’s so so so helpful.

What mode are you guys leaving your calculator on? I’m thinking I’m going to leave it on radian mode, because you’re supposed to use radians unless the problem says otherwise, but then again, a lot of the trig problems at the beginning seem to have something to do with degrees.

Radians… It’s a couple buttons to switch it, that’s all.

From the college board website:
“A line has parametric equations x=5+t and y=7+t and, where t is the parameter. The slope of the line is”

Ha! First time I’ve ever done parametrics was for Calculus BC and the Calc BC solution destroys college board’s.
And more so looking at all the problems that the Ti-89 has a faster solution to :P

Got an 800 on a Sparknotes practice test (from the big practice tests book).

I’m set.

Set for Math, I hope.

Good luck to everyone! See you tomorrow back on this board, freaking about answers.

here’s to an 800!
