Not sure about interviews for overseas for SSE…
They will start mailing admission offers for SDSB and SHSS from first week of May.They send them till June.
The SSE interview calls should start coming till the end of next week.

Well I know a person is fully independent to apply to as many as universities as he wishes but do u guys think that when many good students apply to same universities especially to HYPSM from the same school,the increased competition actually hurts the chances of all of them as one lucky person gets to many places and others equally good get only wait listed or Rejected?
and when the person who gets admission and then rejects an offer,that place does not come back to Pakistan.

By the way, are people being notified for NYU already, or are the kids accepted ED applicants? And aahh I don’t know how all of you are being so calm and cool about college, it’s making me really nervous!

I don’t think so. You can only go to one university regardless of the number of places you got into, and if you reject your offer (assuming more people than expected turn down offers) your place goes to the next best man - Pakistani or otherwise. If you hadn’t applied at all, even then the next best man would have gotten the seat, and not necessarily the next best Pakistani. So, whether you get into many places and reject your offers or don’t apply at all, you’re not reducing opportunities for others.

And about being Nervous…Well College admissions are vey very important but certainly not a matter of life and death…So life goes on!!!and it is useless to worry about them after u v given ur best shot…Also they are so unpredictable that it can really hurt if u worry so much about them!

Well it doesn’t matter whether or not the college jaan boojh kar maintains a certain level of diversity or takes students in according to quotas. If they do, they’ll give your seat to the next best candidate from your country. If they don’t, the seat would have gone to the next best person, regardless of nationality, anyway.

Hmmm… interesting choice. For some reason I never really liked Chemistry (and for some very weird reason I always scored more marks in Chemistry than in Physics - a subject I love). What about Chemistry do you like?

The best thing I like about it…Well I had a World Top in it in O levels…lolx…Well it looks more interesting to me compared to Physics.I was planning to do B.A in it and thn move to PhD

Physics also has been the bane of my existence - I scored really high all through my O Levels, and then ended up with an 89 in the final. Weird how I scored lower in physics than World Affairs, which I did infinitely worse in. How the mind of the O Level examiner works has always been a mystery, huh?
