The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2015

Look at the very end and you will see that the deadline for the SAT and the submission of the Credit Eval is Feb 1st :)

Hahahahah
Awesome, though this just means more expenses :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ve just mailed them about it. Let’s see if I can save some bucks here
BTW omair do you think I stand a fair chance of getting in? 1830 SAT 76% 1st year in agha khan board. 7.0 IELTS and Sat subject tests of physics, chem and Maths level II

hmm, I am sorry I only know about the GCE system and stuff :frowning:
About the applicants and the SAT, not trying to demotivate you or anything, but its low…
Mid 50% SAT is 1900-2130. this was the SAT range for the class of 2014.
Check this: [Georgia Institute of Technology :: Undergraduate Admission :: Quick Facts](<a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission)
they almost had a 50% acceptance rate

@hayyaan Why don’t you try Carleton University of Canada? You can obviously consider Carleton Canada as a safety. Plus, the academics are really great. If you are opting for Engineering, its a great school.
If you are willing to pay 10k-15k, why not apply to BYU?

Dude, whats the deal with BYU? 6000$ tuition fees? someone explainnn

Well I know it’s a bit low. But it would be around 10th precentile maybe. But still I hope my essays will help me (I mean to exploit my pakistani nationality :D

^^Haha…LOL…:D

@intemister
Yeah, the COA of BYU is around 12k. Many internationals get scholarships of around 4k-5k. :)

Hello guys I wanted to ask whether any of you know someone who got into top us universities (early decision) with predicted grades ? And if yes how many A levels were they taking ? And is it better to apply with A level grades or A’s grades?

A lot of people do essar123. I don’t think applying with predicted A level grades is a problem. So no need to worry about that.

Confidential2015, thats sweet. Is it worth going? I mean, if I (God forbid) don’t get into any of the 8 good colleges on my list (+ 4 safeties  ) Would you say BYU> Santa Monica or a community college?

BYU is definitely a good bet if you don’t get into the top 8 choices + 4 safeties! Some programs at BYU are sooooooooooo nice! But, before you apply, be sure to look at the Mormon rules. Those people are very strict! I’d say stricter than Saudi Arabia!! :D

Hey guys, is there any transfer student here? I guess there won’t be many. Anyways, just came across the Pakistani thread and thought diz is a gud idea to share information! Are u guys applying for fin aid as well?

Yep. I think most of us are.
