The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2015

Speaking of youtube, I found this EXTREMELY funny stand up comedian… Maz Jobrani.
This guy is epic funny, Just sayin’

I loooooooooooveeeeeeeee Russell Peters. :D

hahaha russel peters. NO ONE beats Dave Chappelle!

so who got the 800th anniversary cambridge scholarship? Any news?

Hey everyone.
I know interviews aren’t required (most US colleges) but has anyone been contacted for one?

Yay, I got into Jacobs with 100% scholarship.
^ And no, quite oddly, though the Ivy League alumni committees are relatively active in Pakistan.

100% scholarship? Isn’t there any loan package included? Did you get scholarship or need based financial aid?

Yup, its a 100% merit scholarship.
Their costs are 22820 euros/annum and they gave me 22500/annum. They said in the email that they only award this amount to a few students each year.

WOW!!! Its great…And they are true about the full scholarship…they award it to a very few candidates…now chillax!!

Some of my friends applied to Jacob’s but didn’t receive the same Fin. Aid package as you did, freakozoid… Congrats. So, do you think you will go to Germany now that you have an awesome financial aid package from them>???

Haha, thanks dudes.
Well.
That depends on whether I get my butt kicked by the Ivies+Stanford on the 1st of April or not. If yes, then I’ll be pretty happy to go to Jacobs. I am so not giving the LUMS test now. :D

^JUB’s website says that the total cost of attendance is €29.8k! Did you get the scholarship towards tuition fee only?

haha… that’s gonna happen to me for sure
I did not even apply to LUMS btw… so sse test :D

^ Well, yes, but they also say that all scholarships and aid packages cover only tuition, room and board which is 22820. The rest of the stuff (books, air ticket, personal expenses etc.) has to be paid. You’d have to pay that amount in any US college too, so it still works out for me
And that extra amount of 6k also includes 1500 for summer room and board. I definitely don’t intend on staying there during the summer, so I can cross that off. :)

Ah…so that’s the matter…well, if so, then you are on a very good position!

SHI*. i just saw a picture of SBCC hahha i would love to go there (isla vista parties are unbeatable) but then again it is a comunity college and normally you dont get a student visa :stuck_out_tongue: but just imagine going to a college that is ON the beach hahahha.

freakazoid amazing that offer is really tempting :stuck_out_tongue: full rides are hard to turn down.

What’s happening guys?
Any more news?!

Eeeeeee my Cornell interview is on Monday. I’m so freaked out.

^^LOL freakozoid is freaking out! :p
