That is awesomeness!

Thanks perazziman That was the most unexpected one. Though I can’t believe my score on the writing portion I was expecting atleast a 700 in it.

Glaedr, like even for the december one? :o wow, too many people take SAT in december I guess, can’t you travel to Lahore or Islamabad for the weekend to take SAT or something?

Just got my scores,

CR: 750
Math: 730
Writing: 800 (11 essay 79 MCQ)
Composite: 2280

I was hoping for a 2300, that low math score really hurt me. But hopefully these will be good enough to grant me a decent shot at Berkeley or UCLA.

With scores like that, you should reach out to Stanford too. Great job.

Damn, you guys got great scores.

Aaah…my SAT score’s out…
2260 (760 CR, 730 M, 770 W)
Frankly, I’m jumping with joy but…
Since I’m applying to the Ivies- here comes the inevitable:

Should I retake? That was my first sitting btw.

Oh and a big, heart-felt congrats to all of you who got your scores today =D

Leo, I do not think you need to re-take. Congratulations on your score. Btw, to which Ivies were you thinking of applying?

We still have not heard from PAKISTAN2012. I hope he did okay. I am also wondering what he thought about some of the schools I had recommended?

@InVeritas…

O HAI THAR D.A.

Thanks for the reassurance perazziman =D I, too, thought I’d rather focus on my essays now- haven’t even started! And then there are the SAT IIs!

I’m applying to Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth and Amherst (non-Ivy) for now.

Might apply to Yale too- the score’s given me a bit of a boost of confidence.

@diaspora So are you MAS or someone else? Post your initials too please.

@perraziman. haha, i didnt give the sat this time. Was kinda caught up with school and missed th deadline, thought i could register late but only americans so whatever. I’m gonna give it in december as im not applying ED anymore. I gave it in june for the first time, got a 1970, sucks but whatever. Aiming for 2100+ next time though. And to all the other scores, you guys rock, those scores are awesome. People from my school get into ivies with like 1900-2000s, so you guys shouldn’t really be worried.

@ InVeritas

Nice work Sherlock!!!11!!11! / sarcasm :p

Lol. So you finally decided to join eh? Tired of trolling other forums? Btw are you gonna change your avatar to a bear who likes children?

I NEVER ■■■■■ !

How dare you!

I am not a bear.

I don’t like children in that way.

I’m not too fond of avatars.

Your argument is void.

That’s reassuring!

@ Glaedr

I believe that is misleading.

@Diaspora

It probably is. I was just trying to delude myself into thinking positively about my poor SAT score :/

What was your SAT score, if I may ask?

1970 doesn’t sound bad. What were your subscores? We are quite happy with our 2000 which is about the same as 1970. As you know S took the SAT as practice for the PSAT, which does not have an essay. As such, he never practiced for an essay nor fully prepared for the SAT. He did most of his preparation after the SAT for the PSAT. A lot depends on how he does on the PSAT. If his Writing score on the PSAT take a big jump, it would make sense to retake the SAT. Otherwise, S will not be re-taking the SAT.
