btw Good Luck dwarvensniper. Heard UPenn’s ED decision’s coming later in the day today?

*correction Dec 13th, not Jan 13th

Has anyone applied for Early Decision I anywhere? If yes, have you gotten a notification about admission?

Deferred from Penn.

Tough Luck I guess. Well You still have chance with the RD decision? :)

Anyone get in anywhere in Early Decision/Action yet? P.S. dwarvensniper what are your stats?

I have applied to Trinity College, CT. My decision’s coming on the 15th. Fingers crossed.

@InVeritas:

I did.

@Diaspora Where’d you get in?

Post a list of the acceptances so far, everyone. Please.

You got in to Imperial right Al-- I mean “Diaspora”?

Btw Diaspora, a kid from our school went to Imperial 8 yrs ago and 1 went to Oxford that year as well so you won’t be the first to get into Imperial.

@InVeritas:

You just want to “rain on my parade”, right, and make me feel that it is no achievement.

Well, you should know that many years ago someone from our school went to Harvard too. :p

So you won’t be the first one either — that is… if you get in… ;p

I am sorry if that was rude. (Lol jk)

Lol sadly no one actually got in to Harvard. I’ve checked many times. Congrats on getting in 1 down only 5 more to go eh? Anyways we should be studying for Calculus. Only a few more days.

speaking of acceptances, A friend of mine told me someone from roots got into Dartmouth with full aid.

Hello, everyone.
I see some good applicants here, some normal.
So, does anyone have a plan sorted out after their EA/ED decisions?
@Diaspora, so will you be paying for Imperial? I guess its easy to get in that way.
@Inveritas, you must have a lot of guts to apply to Harvard. And since your school has dismal acceptance rates (Your Harvard and Imperial statistics), you must really be an over-achieving guy/girl with a healthy bank account. How are you coping with the stress?
And, lastly is there anyone who is applying to MIT, and feels he has a good chance? Perhaps you @usamatiwana?

@ChuckBBass Well I do am applying to MIT but the fact that I feel I have a good chance, I’m not sure about that. if you have already gone through the thread you might know what my application might look like and how much of a Chance I do have. All’s done now, I’m just hoping everything goes according to the plan. Though my last year’s academic progress would prove to be a real pain in the ass for my application everywhere, but I’m just hoping that my personal essay and a little insight of my background might get me a point or two of advantage. :P

Anyways, hows everyone’s application process going? Btw those of you, who are applying for Financial Aid, did you guys get started with your CSS Profile or ISFAA?

and Who out of you are applying to Lafayette? Deadline’s is in less then 3 days now. XD

@ChuckBBass There’s no need for a healthy bank account because they’re need-blind for internationals. I know Diaspora and another kid are applying to MIT from our school and my plan after EA is to work on my essays. Done with Amherst. Working on Vanderbilt scholarship essay right now. A lot more to go.

Yes, I got into Imperial but if I do go there, I will be paying for myself since UK universities are not very generous when it comes to scholarships (since they let their own students study on loans and can’t really afford to finance international students).

I also applied to Cambridge and am waiting for their decision that will probably come in early January.

And Chuck and Usamatiwana, I am applying to MIT too and will probably apply for financial aid there since they are need-blind for internationals. I am also applying to Stanford and CalTech in the US. Probably also applying to Purdue as a backup (Well I was, but now I am re-considering since I got into Imperial and don’t really need a backup ).

How did SAT go? What did other people get in November SAT?
