The official Pakistani Thread for the class of 2016

@cool39 probably yes. Because an interview can be like a 2 way too, the top colleges do fight for students, so they want to convince you to choose their college over their competitor.
But for places who interviews everyone, it shows nothing at all eg. Yale and Cambridge

only if you are worth fighting for :/.
I havnt gotten an interview call yet.So Ill wait till maybe the 15th of march before i declare my Harvard dreams officially over :(.

Hi guys!
I need help in securing a summer internship in Lahore. I am into banking. I am interested in applying to Citi which is my top choice, Deutsche and Barclays. Can anyone please guide me on how to go about the application process (if there is one)? I have zilch connections because I am not from any of the big cities.
I am a sophomore at Wharton with a decent gpa if that helps.
Thanks a lot!

10 days left for mit!

G’luck guys! =D

24 more to go for moi and I’m already feeling half-dead with anxiety XD

cant concentrate on school exams x.x

Hello everyone! Just a friendly greeting and good luck from your colleagues on the Indian Thread, especially since decisions are only days away :D

I can only imagine how fun it would be to talk in Urdu(?) if we wind up at the same college :3

haha yeah it ought to be fun… I guess :P

Aaah, haven’t gotten around to the part where I start fantasizing about campus life yet XD Though, no doubt, it should be fun!

So Penn’s decision date is out as well :stuck_out_tongue: Received an email today that says

A friend of mine got into Union on almost full aid, $51000 to be exact.
The stress is seriously killing me now XD

Did he get in early decision?
I hope I get into union with that kind of aid.

He got in on ED2. There’s another member here who got in with same amount of aid on ED1. They still have to pay around $7500 a year.

Thats an extremely expensive school though.
If Richmond gives me that amount of aid w/ no merit money I’d have like at least 5k spending money lol

I’ve actually been sneaking onto CC at work…and my boss has begun to smell something suspicious about the way I suddenly minimize as soon as he walks over :P

Not sure if its something I should admit to on public thread though LOL XD

@bluelove lol, indeed it is, but umm on their admissions page they have explicitly said that they would like an international applicant to be contributing at-least $7500 per annum, so before you apply their you should consider this aspect as well. I saw my friend’s financial aid package it was like $49k as international student aid, another 2k as union work program and the rest 7.5k were to be paid by the applicant.
When are you getting your merit aid decision from Richmond?

Btw how many of us here are prospectives for MIT? Almost a week to the D-Day. :D

*there
10char

waitiiiiinngggg … 23 days and counting :P

Well till the wait doesn’t end, let’s just find something to talk about :stuck_out_tongue:
So everyone getting into which college would be like a dream come true to you?
And the second question, though I do know that we all might not have decided yet but if I were to ask you, what major do you think you are going to end up doing?

My dream come true would be getting into either MIT or Princeton though there are pretty slim chances of that happening
And major would be Electrical Engg with Computer Science or Computer Engineering as most would call it.

Getting into Uchicago … would definitely be something for me :D
