Does collegeboard post answers? I think we just have to wait til December (?) to get our score reports...

does any1 where the curve for the last yr's test is. i'd apprecite a link

Oh, December! Too long, too painful, too devastating the wait for my beloved!

oh hey guys what about one questions about the hikers where it said smth like

the relationship between passage 1 and 2 is

was it argumentative vs objectiv, respectively?

we decided it was humurous and earnest

oh dang,, alright thanks

last year's curve:
http://www.collegeboard.com/prod_downloads/counselors/psat/understandingScores.pdf

aww crap...i was going to put humorous earnest but i changed it..

well i never thought it was humorous vs earnest... o well

haha...wait are we allowed to be posting answers? cuz i thought there was a thread saying that we couldnt..

^ If so, I wasn't aware.

umm.. i believe it's ok.. it's not like if the next psat is going to be the same one from today's.. (cb wouldn't be stupid to do that,, :)

oh....ok ...cool....then .. for like the square in the circle on hte second math m.c did anyone get 32 for the area?

did any1 remember getting four Es in a row in the first CR section. this sort of repetition seemed worrisome although the questions themselves were okay

yes, the area was 32

helpmegetin: yes it's 32.
sinnombre: hmm not sure. that sounds skeptical.

Yes, 32. The square consisted of two triangles, and the hypotenuses met. The hypotenuse was 8. Thus, using the 45-45-90 triangle thing, the two sides must be 8/(root)2. Square that to get the area, which is 32.

oh good :)
okay....another question...for the car one...how is that 80?

umm car one? dont remember.. more details plz

It's 80. Because there were 200 cars.
50% red
60% 4 door
70% iron or whatever

The question asked for green cars with 2 door and iron whatever
It's possible that 50% (100) are green, since the other 100 are red.
However, 60% are 4 door (120), so 80 must be different, so possible 80 2 door.
70% iron whatever, so 140 of that.

100 green
80 2 door
140 iron
(possible)
It must be 80, since that is the limiting number.
