same here kevster1001. that was the easiest passage on the test

do we have an established answer to the question about the hiking passage that asks the primary tone of both authors?

the one about the fda question

is it d

wrong verb tense because it says like until drugs are used
it should be drugs have been used

earlier, many said earnest and humorous. because the second passage was definitely not scholarly

i think most people think it's "humorous vs. earnest"...i put conversational vs scholarly though. i just didnt find the first passage funny =/

someone answer fda question

innocent boy, that was a identify error right. i picked d what u get for that question about humanism

yea the underlined part was drugs are in use right?

humanism? in writing?

the humanism question was about how man should live and it had aristotle in it, i think or some other famous greeks

There was one question that was about peregrines. Was the answer that one choice with the word that started with an "iti-"?

FDA question-- yeah, it should have been drugs have been used.

chinnu-- how was the 2nd hiker passage NOT scholarly?

For the hiker question, I really didn't see how the second passage was earnest.
I mean, if it were earnest, then the other passage had to be humorous. Like someone else said, I didn't find it humorous. Just conversational.

o it was looked upon

it should be looks upon

COMMON CONSENSUS: ONLY 2 Es in writing section

peregine falcons is itinerant

osme more vocab answers

courted
diatribe
euphemism
stopgap

short passages about monkeys

technical skills
termite

second passage about uncle

surly
disagreed with uncle advice

NO, the uncle was WRY.

And what were the two "Es" in writing? I only got one.

yeah for the hiker passage i put humorous and earnest.
overall the PSAT was okay. CR was kind-of hard just because it wasn't the most thrilling thing in the world and because i was sleepy/tired and was getting strange dizzyspells/headaches from time to time and i had to stop myself from dozing off. Math was alright, but i know that i didnt finish two questions in enoug time. Writing skills was unnaturally easy; i finished about 15 minutes early and fell asleep...ahaha.

psycho refresh on pergrine question. the humanism or renaissance question had a long dash in it and explained how man should live. and that part was underlined. i think i picked since it should of been in present tense

questions about hiker passage

extend
something about tools and ability to stop the last paragraph of passage 1
obviously humorous and earnest

questions about korea

one was something about self awareness it was bout the past last question
the 2nd to last question was about finding one's identity

agree?

I'm pretty sure that the "Let's do it!" answer was like "Blithe reaction to an arduous undertaking" or something...

I had the Natural World one, but changed it when I realized the author never really said he like nature...didn't know what blithe meant, but my hunch was correct.

Still kinda ****ed about the last math on the first section. I took one glance at it as the lady called time and scribbled down my best answer. Oh wells...:-p

Chinnu, I think you are right. I can't recall that question exactly, but I think it had a tense error.

thanks innocent, i put that
