[li]Your thoughts on your decision: Rejected.[/li][/ul] Any other comments: Wish the rest of you guys much luck. That I'm dejected would be a great understatement.

I don't understand how jars could have been rejected. That's way more than totally ridiculous. Did you pi$$ someone off? I'm betting you'll do great a Caltech. Maybe some Caltech official paid MIT admissions off to ensure you'd go West, young man!

Anybody I offend, please don't take it personally. Ben and Matt, that includes you guys. I was exagerrating much and not talking about you. Unfortunately for some of you, I don't think it's wrong to vent some temporary frustrations at an online forum, but it is a touchy issue. I have a hard-to-upset personality, and hence, I often feel excess criticism/insulting is due in tough moments. Don't worry about me; I've got some places that rival MIT that want me. Given that, I was probably overreacting. Then again, it is my first rejection, though I did not feel emotionally drained like when one college deferred me back in December.

When one posts these ventings, one thinks it's just an online forum. But in a way, that just makes it worse. It expands the audience. Look, even an MIT admissions officer read what I said. So pick your words with care, any potential venters. Don't make my arguable mistake.

And I'd be surprised if MIT didn't have its rumored share of narrow-minded, introverted geeks who'd rather study the same thing twice than take a shower. How many is up for dispute.

And I forgot to post my SATII scores; d'oh! 800/790/790

I think everyone needs to keep in mind that based on rankings (namely princeton review) MIT is the hardest school to get into...With that in mind, if you weren't accepted there are possibly better schools that will take you.
