Leave it to the obscure majors thread to devolve into drinking game debates.

Cross fire is way more fast paced… Beer pong is ok I small doses but it just gets boring after a while… Cross fire also combines flip cup… It’s fantastic.
4 corners is where there is 4 players who each have their own beer on a corner. There are two balls in play. You take turns throwing the pong ball at the other person beer trying to make it bounce as far away from the table as you can. Once a person beer is hit they have to run and grab it and bring it back to the table and tap their beer with it and yell stop. While they are running for the ball the person who hit the beer chugs until the person yells stop. First team with both beers gone wins.

to play beer pong correctly you need to trash talk and distract your opponent

also Financial Math and Stats major here

/comment removed/

Any love for King’s Cup here? ;)

Double major:
German/Anthropology.
Anthro isn’t nearly as obscure as German, but the combination definitely raises a few eyebrows.

I could have got in English, but I was told by a UCLA rep that it’s not difficult to switch to English from English related majors like American Lit, Comparative Lit…etc. So I took her advice. Pre-req’s are exactly the same, so I have no worries about switching unless I bomb my first quarter for some reason.

@CalBearGuy I switched completely to engineering. Unfortunately, I have not finished all the prereqs yet, so that canceled out UCB and UCLA as options for me. I got into UCSD and I will be going there starting this summer. I really did not feel like spending another year at CC. I’d rather get into the UC and start doing research to add to my resume right away.

@UChopeful2010: Why was it that you decided to apply for engineering rather than EEP/econ?

@bkwrmi: Oh, that’s cool, I’ve never seen a German major on here

I had always wanted to be an engineer. I was only doing econ because it would provide a good salary, and I would be able to graduate sooner than getting an engineering degree. However, this fall I reevaluated my situation and realized the extra year would be worth it. For one, I have experience troubleshooting electrical systems and have always wanted to be part of designing them. Also, I felt working in the financial industry, although lucrative, wouldn’t provide me with a feeling of accomplishment. Not that I hate on bankers all of a sudden, but I’d rather be responsible for creating “real” wealth, than just figuring out ways to move it around.

ahh okk, so you were gonna apply to EEP for the higher acceptance rate, and then make ur focus econ? Yeah, if i get into UCB for EEP, im gonna make my focus more economics and environmental science, but I don’t want to deal top much with the policy aspaect of the major.

kings cup is good **** *thumbs up.

ill hafta try four corners sometime.

Apples to Apples, anyone?! Phase 10?!

oh, hell. I love Kings cup.

phase 10 is hella fun hahah

Going to start off by saying that I love how this turned into a Beer Pong thread hahaha. But I also applied as an EEP major, but in L&S! I hear its super easy to switch around majors as long as its in your college (so L&S for me). I didnt realize so many others applied as that too, ahh!

I applied to UC Berkeley’s Peace & Conflicts major.

Geology/paleontology and i love beer pong
