Just curious, when do we have to decide on roommate if we choose to dorm with someone specifically?

@Loyshi Don’t quote me on it, but I believe It isn’t until early July.

@ucastell omg… I’ve gotten so sick of driving back and forth to school that I would do whatever it takes to live a max of 1-2 miles from campus. Driving just gets mind-numbing.

@xcballin
Of course I’ll be holding you accountable for inaccurate information! Who would think you can get false info on CC? Thanks

@chaoscuber
Where do you drive from? I bet the traffic is pretty bad…

@Loyshi I drive to two different colleges. I drive from one college in the morning (25 miles away from home), then I come home between classes (gym), then go to another college 25 miles in the other direction from home (so 50 miles from the first college). Then there’s that 5:30 pm traffic… I’d do whatever it takes to minimize my driving to get groceries and that’s it

anyone majoring in development studies at cal? Is it impacted?

@squashbanana Not stalking you, I just follow this thread as well! Haha. I applied to Cal as Peace and Conflict Studies, which is housed under the same department as Development Studies. The admit rate is approx. 30%, which is the second highest for the college of L&S. The only department easier is Arts and Humanities.

@ocnative, yeah I’m thinking to live on-campus at least for the first year and then go from there.

@smashley93 haha no its all good! Oh so not too bad. Do you know the difference between UCLA’s IDS and cal’s development studies? They just knocked off the international part of it. I’m not sure which school I will go to if I get into both anyway
thanks!

@squashbanana I’m biased, because I’m obsessed with Cal, but I will say that they do have much more flexibility with regard to changing majors! Actually, no one will even be admitted to a major, just a school.

Wrong thread. Lol.

This thread is surprisingly so lifeless…

I know wtfff where is everybody. I know we have a week left, but doesn’t anyone else want to come be nervous together?

I think it’s cause everyone is caught up being worried about the other schools.

I think this thread is the most “calm down and in order” one among all UC transfer threads…
At least no one is talking about tricks lol

Let’s revive this thread…

Is anyone interested in the political atmosphere of the campus?

@iceburgzhang
One of the top school in the world, yet the least talked about right now on CC. ehmmm… I actually mentioned about a trick before, but that died along with the thread.

@ocnative
I actually don’t know much specifically about the political atmosphere. Care to provide some insight?

Do you guys know if Molecular Cell Bio is impacted at Berkeley? I know is not as impacted as Engineering but I don’t know if is still impacted? I’m so worried!!

@ucastell
I don’t think it is as it’s mentioned on the website.
