Dude! That’s so freaking awesome. Man that totally proves how different (and weird) the admission reviews are for each UC.

Dude! That’s so freaking awesome. Man that totally proves how different (and weird) the admission reviews are for each UC.

@chaoscuber and @randombookie, did you see the person who got accepted to, I believe, UCSD, UCD, UCLA and another UC, and his only rejection was from San Diego State? That was kind of Twilight Zone-ish.

@loyshi, now that I’ve gotten accepted into all the UCs I applied to (UCD, UCLA, UCSD) and now I’m waiting on UCB I would be kind of sad, but not as sad, because as someone else already mentioned even though berkeley is my first choice I now have another amazing university to attend (UCLA) if berkeley decides to reject me. Therefore, it would not be as bad… But I still hope to get into Berkeley I just fell in love with that school, I don’t want to get my heart broken haha

I really want to go to Berkeley, but I see that Econ is a capped major, so I dont really now if i can have that chance.

@ucastell

My powers of clairvoyance indicate to me that you’ll get in at Berkeley.

Clearly, I have some sort of ability to predict people’s futures! :D

@Cayton
Considering how much time you are on CC, what’s your secret to being on CC and maintaining your classes/GPA? lol

@Loyshi

lol, the secret is managing one’s time well.

I think being on CC is becoming a full-time job now. I’m supposed to be doing some reading for my philosophy class but here I am, posting on the UC transfer forum. I’ll get to it eventually, though.

It’s all good, though. I’m somehow maintaining a proper balance between being on here and school. :D

@cayton, I hope so I really want to go there. But I feel way better now that UCLA accepted me, I can always go there… either way I can’t go wrong. :)

@ucastell

Especially as a pre-med student, UCLA and Berkeley offer excellent opportunities.

If you decide to go to Berkeley, you should try and see if they have any research opportunities available to pre-meds that are offered in conjunction with UCSF. I’m willing to bet Berkeley and UCSF seem to have a relationship of sorts since Berkeley doesn’t have its own medical school.

But hey…you could always just go to the UC that has its own medical school and happens to be in Los Angeles. :P

@lindyk8 The same happened to me! Accepted to UCSD and UCLA, rejected from SDSU, lol. Weird situation.

@smashley93 and @lindyk8 same for me, but I got rejected from SJSU also.
Congrats to everyone who made it^^

@jonjon03 @lindyk8 I don’t mean to sound like a sore loser or try and justify a rejection, but someone in my school’s admin. was saying that the CSUs give HUGE priority to local applicants. They would prefer a 3.0 in-area over a 4.0 out of area.

@smashley93

That’s probably the only plausible explanation for the fact that you got accepted to UCLA and rejected from San Diego State. That sounds like some bizarro-world stuff right there.

And congrats to getting in at UCLA! Hope you get into Berkeley too!

@Cayton Thank you! To you as well Are you waiting on Cal or did you already SIR?

@smashley93

I think I’ll SIR tomorrow or in the next few days. I’ll still want to see what Cal says, though. It’s always nice to get more acceptances, right? :D

@Cayton
Once accepted, join the dark side…at Berkeley lol

are you going to any of the admit events at UCLA?

do you think that i have a chance to get in? My gpa is 3.9, but i dont know what my UC’s gpa is ( i have 1 B in calculus 2, and I get A for other courses). my major is econ which is a capped major in Berkeley. Really have no idea

Well that was depressing. Rejected from ucla with a 3.95 gpa for biz Econ.

Now I’m even more scared for cal.

@Kc9981 you sound highly qualified based on your GPA, but because its Econ at Berkeley, your admissions will most likely depend on how good your essays were
@GreatestThe Dang! thats harsh man i feel bad now cause i surprisingly got into UCLA with ~3.7 but i was applying for Biochemistry, which is not as impacted as biz Econ im sure. Im worried about Cal too but honestly i dont know what to say bout your situation, maybe if your essays are really good? cause they take that into account more, which im sure they are, i still think you have a shot. Stay positive Nonetheless only 6 more days till i hear from my dream school

@bookham yeah man. Well. I was in a school shooting and had bad grades. Then rocked community college. I built 3 businesses that made a profit. I wanted to go to ucla since it’s local
But Berkeley is the better school for my program. Maybe they’ll accept me and this was fate. I applied to haas though haha. I think I’m screwed. Any idea a out spring acceptances ? I only applied to cal and ucla.
