I wonder if they are going to send out the financial aid emails tomorrow. I remember seeing older threads about how this could be an indicator that you are accepted.

Hey guys I have a question. So for my major (music) there are no specific prerequisites we are supposed to take. Assist pretty much just says to take as many music related classes as possible. So what do you guy think is a respectable amount of “prerequisites” to take? How many have you all taken for your major? Thanks.

Having visited both campuses and the areas around them, Berkeley is not exactly the most family friendly compared to the community of Davis. It’s a very urban environment and I also hear it’s not the safest at night.

I summon @Cayton to answer my above question.

As far as the articulation agreement for my major, I’ve taken ~6-7 classes that were either pre-reqs or directly related to my major. Some of my communication classes weren’t on their list on assist.org, but I took a few.

I took three. That’s all my major required. I’m taking a fourth one right now but it was mostly just a prerequisite for UCLA instead of Cal.

I don’t think you’ll find Cayton on this thread…try the UCLA one

Thanks guys, that makes me feel a lot better. It’s a little bit weird having a major where they don’t tell you what classes to take. I basically just followed my school’s associates degree sequence since it covers the basics.

@TheUnderdog1 I think there’s housing for families, its like a 15-minute drive from the campus. Near campus though is not ideal for a family, there are a bunch of homeless people.

I get the feeling that the bulk of your application review probably had most weight on your PS and rewards/achievements; just things of that nature, since there weren’t any pre-reqs.

What happened if i forgot to report one class? It’s Trigonometry which is not transferable to UC, and I got A, but I forgot to list it on my application.

@Kc9981

If you got an A, you’re fine. Just notify them right away if you get accepted.

Thanks a lot. I was scared that it may affect my admission.

3+ to 5+ classes.

I’m kind of like a spirit that can be summoned and will respond pretty quickly to any requests for help.

@cayton No regents for berkeley transfers this yr??

@JYtransfer

Not for me, anyway. I think Berkeley will announce Regents’s invitations/scholarships sometime in May, though. Not too certain about that…

Thanks @Cayton. You’re always there for us.

It’s my duty to serve others, @music1990.

I could use a cool refreshment. Jk. You’re awesome :)

One cold pepsi, coming right up!

@Cayton
Ah good choice… I’m getting tired of water and almond milk, so I could use a damn soda for once! You’re a champion.
