Dear XXX:

It gives me great pleasure to offer you admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the last several months, as we have come to know you by reading and rereading your application, we have been impressed by all that you have accomplished. Even among the many strong students applying for admission this year–we expect nearly 24,000 applications for 3,900 spaces–your academic and personal achievements have set you apart. We believe that you have an exciting future ahead of you, and we hope that Carolina will be the next step in your journey.

Because we have high hopes for you, I want to encourage you to continue preparing yourself for the challenges you will face here. The same curiosity and hard work that have brought you to this happy moment in your academic life will be crucial as you make the transition to college. Because we want you to come to Carolina ready to excel, your enrollment will depend upon your successful completion of your current academic year. We require that you continue to achieve at the level that enabled us to offer you admission; we also require that you graduate on time. Please arrange to have your final end-of-year transcript sent to us as soon as it becomes available.

As a first-year student, you will join other outstanding students in the College of Arts and Sciences, which will be your academic home for your first two years at Carolina. Enclosed within your admissions package you will find a detailed description of the opportunities that await you, as well as a checklist of the steps you must take in order to complete your enrollment. Please review this information carefully, and please note that you will need to submit your response to our offer of admission no later than May 1, 2009, to guarantee your place in the class.

Again, congratulations on your admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am delighted to be the first to welcome you to Carolina, and I wish you every success in the months ahead.

Sincerely,

Stephen Farmer
Associate Provost and Director of Undergraduate Admissions

Rejected… 24,000 applicants fighting for less then 4000 spots plus out of state, couldn’t expect it any other way.

Mine’s still loading…

I’m sorry CCCGolf09
The link still wont resolve… so I’m still waiting.

I’m in as well!! Just keep clicking you guys…

Thanks for the concern signitinblack, it was a long shot as I didn’t have the 4.0 OOS GPA that is basically needed, nor the multiple AP credits, (School only offers 4 AP Classes). Regardless, I will be happy at Ohio Northern come this fall, And will re apply as a 1st year transfer next year hopefully with a better chance, best of luck to you and all the others

I got in!!!
