The Optional letter of recommendation

<p>How does this one work?</p>

<p>I know that for the teacher recommendation, they can do it online on the common app. BUt what about the optional one (like from a coach or professor, etc). Do they still do it online? or can they write it and I mail it?</p>

<p>I searched for this on here but after reading about 10 threads, I got tired. lols</p>
