The Peculiar Case of Class Registration at Sarah Lawrence

Article from the local Bronxville paper describing the class interview process which I'm linking here for any possible interest - I'm sorry this board is more or less dead. One thing I'm learning about SLC students though is that they're very icconoclastic and not the type to be seen around an uber competitive forum like CC.....

"Unlike other universities, Sarah Lawrence College's registration period begins just days before classes first start, and involves students interviewing with teachers one on one."

Thanks for the info. It definitely seems like a unique process, and my son is interested.

My friend’s nephew attends and he loves it. It is, of course, monstrously expensive.

65% of student body receives financial aid. No merit aid. Need-based only. It’s hardly the outlier in terms of cost - there are quite a few schools bunched up at the "monstruously expensive’ end.

Sarah Lawrence is my dream school! So excited for my visit in the summer!
