caltech gets their decisions at 12pm pacific time today :)

anyone ever look at the mychances site? According to it, I have a very unlucky life lol

RAers don’t get tubes :(

Yeah that site is pretty much useless.

It said I have an 80ish % chance of getting into Stanford. Right…

it said I had a 25% of getting into Caltech. BUT I GOT IN. So take that stupid website!

I got rejected from Caltech and that app was much better then my MIT one. There is no way im getting into MIT tomorrow

Tomorrow !!!

meh, waitlisted from CIT, not really expecting anything tomorrow now… -.-

I wish I used my CalTech essays on my MIT app… since I EA MIT, my essays were bad in comparison

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

I guess I could always transfer after I get in my accepted top schools (but not very top)…

I wonder, if you guys are accepted to both MIT and Caltech, which one would you choose?

good luck and godspeed!

haha I can’t even dream of having that choice, but it would def be MIT

@ dawncoming: I’m considering this too, in fact, with Princeton as another considerations as well.

MIT, no doubt. It would be so, so, so amazing to have that choice.
Although I was not aware that RAers don’t get tubes, I think that’ll actually make me feel better if I’m rejected tomorrow haha.

@feux, I can’t believe you were waitlisted!! The admissions officers must just be insane. That’s really shocking, I’m sorry
I bet tomorrow will work out for you. If you get into MIT and I don’t, let’s switch college acceptances. I’ll force you to. :D

wait. im confused.

a friend of mine who applied to MIT EA and got deferred said that tomorrow’s decision is either acceptance or rejection. no deferral.

is that just for EA? or for RD, which i applied, as well?

tomorrow is for anyone who applied for undergraduate admissions… and their is also a waitlist in addition to accept/reject

This is rather depressing…

How enlightening you are.

I really like that site. Sometimes it glitches up though; I feel like usually the 0%s are glitches; if it really were hopeless, you’d get like a 0.2% or something.
It’s hard to interpret those chances though – like what if you get a 45%? That’s much better than the acceptance rate, but still less than 50/50, which is not very good. What are you supposed to think about a 45%?
