Can students take the PSAT senior year and qualify to be National Merit Finalists?
Or was it strictly a junior year thing?

rane-
Sorry- the PSAT for NM is only taken in the junior year.

CR-67
Math-80
W-75

222 RI cut-off around 213

In recent years, people talked about PSAT cutoff would go down because the "upgrade" math contents or "recentered" Writing curves. But it looks the NMSF bars only lifted up year by year. Are your guys really think this year's cutoff will go down 1-3 points because the reason we've discussed so many times. I need the detailed and convinced info for this.

The highest cutoff is MA which was like 222 last year.

From NY:
230
M: 80
R:78
W:71

nice lildude, our schools going to have 6-9 nmsfs what do your college councilers predict to cutoff to be (ours predict 206)

Critical Reading 78
Math 80
Writing 76
Total: 234

I'm a finalist currently waiting to hear if I get a scholarship =)

CR-67
Math-80
Writing-78

Total-225

-In VA, and cutoffs are usually 219-221

76-77-77 (Math CR Writing) for a 230 (took it this year). I know that beats NY's cutoff because I have never heard of a cutoff above 224....
