This is for all those people who feel swindled for having using REA books to prepare for standardized tests, and then realizing halfway through the real thing that none of the questions look anything like the ones in your $%*tty prep book. Discuss.

Actually, I thought their APUSH book was pretty good review... No clue about their other books though.

I agree with you! The REA AP US book is very poor. The test questions are poorly constructed and do not resemble real AP questions. Also the book does not differentiate between important points and lesser points. For example they devote 5 lines to Brown v. Board of Education which appears on almost all exams and 3 lines to lesser civil rights cases that have a zero percent chance of appearing on the exam.
On the other hand the new REA AP Art History book is very good. REA got two teachers named by the college board as the world's most successful AP Art History teachers for three years on a row to write the book. These guys really know what they are doing. In contrast the US History book is amateur hour!

I loved the REA AP US History book. It helped me earn my 4 on the AP US exam, which is a really good score for me since I suck at history!
