The REAL ACT Book -- is it enough?

This is going to be my last time taking the ACT in October.. I have been using the Kaplan book, but now I'm getting the REAL ACT book. By taking the 3 practice tests + the one I got from school, if I do well on those, should that be enough practice to determine a good estimation of my score in October?

Are there any other books I should get in accompaniment to this?

I’m using the Red book right now, and it seems to be quite helpful. I would also suggest getting the PR 1296. It’s a little more difficult than the Real ACTs, but it’s better to be over prepared than under prepared :)

I would suggest finishing everything else before taking the red book tests. Finish PR, 1296, and Kaplan first. Take the real tests a week or so before the real thing.

Honestly, I found the “Real ACT” book to be a good pack for practice tests but nothing else. They give you a few explanations and tactics on some random problems, but to me, that was just it, and I really don’t remember learning anything useful.

I’d suggest PR. I only have their PSAT book, but that is enough to convince me that they would surely do a fantastic job on the ACT, much better than the red book.

I use the REAL ACT book, it helps plenty :D
