<p>The role of SAT depends on the school. For example, AAP doesn’t seem to care much about SATs. </p>
<p>I could be wrong about this, but I think Cornell only considers math and critical reading parts of the SAT.</p>
<p>I know CoE emphasizes SATs more than the other schools, but if you have an 800 in the math section and about a 600 in both the other sections, you still have a shot of getting in with a 2000. The breakdown matters too.</p>
<p>But keep in mind, SATs are not the only component used in admissions.</p>
