<p>You get an ID badge that you use for meal plans and for opening your dorm doors. And it acts as a debit card. </p>
<p>Put at least $10.00 on it. I use it only for laundry since I already have a credit and debit card.</p>
<p>I say that it can be useful if you don't have a credit card or debit card. Put money on it and you can use it in numerous locations on campus and even some locations off-campus</p>
<p>mainly laundry, i dont want to have to have coins on me all the time for that lol</p>
<p>if you can go home every other week to do laundry, it's pretty useless. maybe a drink or two, tops. just bring 5 bucks around with you, with your keys and card.
that said, some students like to use it, because it is convenient for those machines that actually take swipes (not all do). depends on your uses, i dont have anything on mine, wouldnt have used more than $10 tops last semester even if i did (a couple of drinks, a few snacks, etc)</p>
