There's a special junior thread, and a special thread for juniors going to take standarized tests. So I thought, who cares about the juniors!:p I mean, senior year is about 100x more stressful than junior year. So this is our special place :) We can talk about anything related to senior year, but let's keep all chances stuff out. There's another board for that stuffie. So Speak my fellow seniors!

100 times more stressing? I think not LOL. I'm only taking 5 classes: 2 APs, 1 honors, 1 regular, and 1 cooking.

All APs and head of a gazillion clubs. Govmt, Econ, German, Phyics, Calc BC, and English Lit. VP of Science Olympiad, Pres of German Club and Eating Disorders Union, member of NHS, Liberation in North Korea, and tutoring on the side. Have to prepare for music major, get scholarship to IUB, if that doesn't work go NROTC....yeah, I'd say it's stressful. At least I'll lose weight from all the sleep I'm going to lose :D

I dont think senior year is stressful at all. The thing about it is that I am so excited to graduate, go to college and be around people who are more mature. That means that I am going to be counting down the days from day 1 until I get out of school. Its probably going to seem like its going on forever. But as far as tests and classes go, in my opinion I think junior year was harder.

College applications=major stress for me. Especially since my guidance counselor requires all applications in by november 1st :(

I am so excited about being a senior. Yeah, the first months will be stressful, but after I will get accepted into a college (early action or decision if I am lucky) I will be unofficially finished with high school. Also, my school (and my class) makes senior year a BIG deal. We keep saying that we are seniors and are class of '06 (we are just being proud of our class- theres no problem with that). We also get special privileges (senior patio, early release from classes, exemptions from final exams except two specific subjects if we don't pass the classes, senior t-shirts, and a senior field trip to a fun place).

yes if i get accepted to just one pharmacy program early (one of them is rolling) i'll be excited for the rest of the year :)

College Apps= STRESS!!!!

Second semester of senior year though, that should be niiiiice.

Yay-YUH.

If only there was a way to go to college without having to do the whole applying thing...

seriously. that'd be nice.

I wish they could just look at me and know if they're going to accept/reject/defer/waitlist. It'd be so much easier ;)

Accept/Reject would be simpler. And easier.

haha :) you're right. I prefer Deny and You're in! though

wait wait. what's defer?

if you do early action/decision and they postpone their decision until regular time :p

"You're basically qualified, but we have no room, so we'll make ourselves feel a little better about ourselves by not outright rejecting you when we just admitted another guy with basically the same stats as you - later, we'll just send a letter to all our deferee's saying that we can't take them, but by then it will feel less personal."

At least that's what I take away from it.

that's my thought too. To me a defer is more painful than a rejection :(

Yeah, I think so too.
I really just want to know where I'm going to get in before applying.

that would save so much time. If my first choice is A, and I spend the most time on that application, but i'm rejected, it was all a waste of time, and we could save so much time if we know who was going to accept us :p

That's why we do "Chances" threads and bug the heck out of all these CCers ;)
