I don't believe Bjm8 would be willing to take a substantial pay decrease. :)

I have advocated for some time a masculine voice, personal experiences and male perspective would be more than benefical in assessing women from a different mindset (no different than the hiring process) and would greatly enhance the admission process. At every LAC in the country females make decisions on male applicants every day. I see no difference in having both genders collaborate on such important decisions at a women's college.

...but who gets the corner office?

That would be me.

Actually, now that I think about it...I've talked to several Smith admissions officers, past & present, and not only have none been male, I can't recall hearing of one that was male.

I can't recall hearing of one that was male.}}

B/c there never was one I know of. There's always a first

There has been at least one male Smith admissions officer, as I know him. He is an Amherst grad married to a Smithie and they both worked as Smith admissions officers for a while, quite some time ago. She kept at it longer, though.

GEEZ...now we need three offices?? I don't need this kind of pressure! I vote for the person who has been in education the longest ;)

(I know what you're thinking, that doesn't make for a good or informed adm. officer...and you're right. Can't shoot a guy for tryin'.)
