<p>Where do you think we are in terms of admissions? Has anyone been accepted with this status?</p>
<p>What major did you apply for?</p>
<p>Mine changed on 3/7, was stuck at the preliminary review date and then changed to March 12th. I feel like everyone else's statuses who did that were accepted within days and I'm the only one hanging.</p>
<p>I applied for film production though so I'm interested in seeing if it's a major thing.</p>
<p>I was in Preliminary Review since 12/5 and changed to In Review around 3/7! I thought they had forgotten about my application there for a while! I was never asked for grades, but sent them anyway. I applied to LAS for International Relations/English.</p>
<p>Chinaski, you're not the only one. I applied to Writing for Screen and Television, and mine changed to in review on the 7th. Then the date didn't change until the 19th. Then to make me even more confused, the date changed again on the 22nd. Has anyone else's date changed a second time?</p>
<p>I was in that prelim review since Jan 17th and I think it was around March 7 that I was updated, but my date stayed the same. =/ I applied for a Classics major.</p>
<p>My status changed to "we have received your midyear grades" on 3/4, but the date still remained February.</p>

<p>Shadekeiko - I think you're getting a fat envelope soon, based on how quickly admissions went out to those who have had the really recent date changes. And the fact that SCA admissions are starting to happen. I don't believe in any of the "theories" but your app sure seems to be in play!</p>

<p>Mine went from "we received fall grades" on 2/6 to "in review" on 3/12 and has not changed since then. I applied for film production.. can you say rejection...</p>

<p>Just opened two USC letters (one little and one big). My daughter got in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p>
<p>She also had a change in updated status like shadekeiko dated the 22nd.</p>

<p>USC asked for my mid-year report, and then the status changed to:
"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.
Status last updated: 3/5/2008 8:52:57 AM"</p>

<p>Also, I had to fax them my certificate of finances (I'm an international student), but now I'm having doubts as to whether or not they actually received it and filed it. Should I call them and ask?</p>
<p>Woah... I just called USC (I live in Los Angeles), and they told me that my update that I sent is dated March 20th. I faxed my certification of finances on the last day of February yet it was dated March 20th... That is really odd. I guess I'm still in review because they just dated my certification of finances? I'm guessing that my change in status from mid-year report to currently in review was because of the official transcript that my counselors sent.</p>
<p>I got accepted to NYU today, but no USC. =/ I was so excited too because my dad said I had a lot of mail. -_- But most of it turned out to be my sister's. She's only a sophmore and is already getting spammed by colleges.</p>
<p>I am officially disheartened. This whole process, to be frank, sucks. At the end of the day it seems like it's the luck of the draw. I started off confident and optimistic and excited, and I've now been reduced to mentally cursing my mailman.</p>

<p>My "status last updated" is still at 1/21/2008 2:35:00 PM. I'm pretty positive I've been rejected.</p>
