The Struggle of AP Euro...Advice needed.

This year, as a history-loving soph, I am taking Euro. However, I am also a varsity level swimmer and train almost 24hrs a week and am not allowed to skip any practices, unless I am sick. I often don't get home until 6:30 at night and have to be up by 4:55 in the morning to be at practice. Meet nights, I don't get home until 9 pm and still have to be up before 5 to make it to practice. I also struggle with GAD/panic disorder, a personal issue that ruins me when I get stressed

I've been in school for two weeks and I am really struggling with taking Euro among my other classes. I am in the highest level of every class offered: English Hon, Chem Accel (no honors science at my school, Accel = Honors for us), Geometry Accel (no honors geo), French Acc III (no honors French).

The thing is, I could drop Euro if I wanted to because I have a doctor's note (anxiety) that would allow me to drop down to an Accel level history class (school admin doesn't let you drop APs unless you have a doctor's note). I don't want to drop Euro because I enjoy learning about history and I think it would be a great addition to my transcript as far as classes go, but I am struggling between athletics, academics, and activities (volunteering, etc). APUSH is pretty much what all Euro students go into next year, but if I drop Euro, would it be sensible to take APUSH? (APUSH at our school is known to be much, much easier than Euro). Should I drop Euro, or continue taking it for the credit and prestige?

Advice?
Thank you!

You should take the course if you enjoy history, but note that there are many varsity-level athletes taking 4+ AP’s a year.

As a fellow sophomore taking AP Euro, I think you should try to stick with AP Euro if you can and as @skieurope said if you love history it doesn’t really feel like work (or at least for me). If taking Euro starts to have a really negative impact on your grades or even the amount of effort you can give at swimming practices then you should definitely drop it. You seem to have a good schedule otherwise, so it shouldn’t hurt your chances of getting into a good college if you decide to drop it.
