The Truth About CMU

@ChoreBoy… I agree, you don’t personally attack ‘a’ CCer. You attack a whole university!

If you had an opinion/advice for any of us, you could’ve simply written a decent post. I’m sorry for your cousin, I am…but his failure doesn’t make the school awful/pathetic/deplorable.

And I just want to know, why did you make that statement about ‘ugly women’? How does that even relate to what’s happened to your cousin? Were ‘ugly women’ the reason for his 40k a year?

@completelykate…nice!

There are people graduated from MIT/Harvard years ago and are still unemployed. Tell your cousin to cheer up and relax.

Rite Aid is at the bottom of pot, so to speak; they are running out of business, which contributes to the steep salary decrement that my cousin received. Sadly with a chemistry degree from CMU, the only place that offered him employment was Rite Aid. He knew that the company was not garnering any profits and that the his job was bad, but he had to work there in order to pay off his debts. It’s okay that you guys don’t listen to me, but don’t be surprised if you end up like my cousin working at a diarrhea company paying off massive debts.

I think it depends on your cousin, not CMU. Some people graduated from Harvard could lose jobs. So if your cousin really involved in the CMU community, he will definitely thrive in his company.

I don’t know, I still figure you’re a ■■■■■, you and the bpnumbers are probably the same person. (I couldn’t even understand what he was saying, but somehow you did? whut?). I think you barely did any research, made up “economy hurtin’ rite aid” and all that.

I think you’re just trying to sound intelligent in your posts but some how I can smell bull through the computer.

yea…i seriously dont get why you would join cc all of a sudden to say that cmu sucks…thats hella random and idiotic.

You guys also both used the phrase ‘bottom of the pot’ in two different contexts, which is honestly a phrase I’ve never heard anyone use until now. Your writing style is also very similar in vernacular. It would seem you’re both the same poster.

First, I have no idea who bp is but it is very easy to see what he is trying to say here. I think it is obvious when one describes something as “at the bottom of the pot” that it means that it is in last place or is of inferior quality. At least that is how I took it and used it. Also he said CMU is diarrhea which can be VERY easily understood as cmu is crap.

Second, I did not do any research on rite aid or how the economy is affecting it. I know from stories of closings and layoffs my cousin has told me as well as common knowledge that Rite Aid is not doing very well right now. Any person who has even remotely been in the vicinity of a news program or paper would know that rite aid is in serious trouble.

My cousin is constantly reporting the fear of losing his job due to the poor state Rite Aid is in.

No, that bps’ first thing was “U fail at posting” and I thought he was saying that to you. Then “it’s” and I didn’t get he was even talking about cmu till “cmu grads r diarrhea”. And then I figured it was sarcasm because I always figure it’s in that lolwhut sarcasm when people are too lazy to spell our “you” or “are”.

But no, apparently you understood all of it and figured he was very intelligent for the “bottom of the pot” reasoning.

So I call shenanigans. [■■■■■■ | Cracked.com](<a href=“Cracked.com - America's Only Humor Site | Cracked.com”>Cracked.com - America's Only Humor Site | Cracked.com)

Man, according to that I should be ignoring you and your crazy rants.

So I have a joke: A man walks into a bar…and says “Ow”.

It’s funny how bp uses the word diarrhea in every post…

Case Western is the school you are describing. I would imagine CMU to be a lot better.

“I am merely sharing a personal anecdote about this school. Nowhere do I personally attack another ccer like you have just done.”

Then I’ll share a “personal anecdote” as well. My friend graduated from CMU and now works at Microsoft. He makes something like 80000 right out of college. Wutwutupthebutt?

Since you base your sole decision of whether a college is good or not off of one person, I can easily do the same.

Damn ■■■■■■.

My godmother went to Carnegie Mellon for engineering (electrical, I believe).

Her house is absolutely ridiculous. You’d never guess a single parent of two owned property that beautiful, large, etc. I thought I was living extremely well as an average middle class student—ahaha…no. There is so much more. And she said herself she had Carnegie Mellon University to thank.

Also, @kate–A+.

apatheticism and ladyvee, i am very surprised you guys were not called ■■■■■■ yet…you guys shared an anecdote about the school and was not ridiculed.

hmm, Odd that only the negative anecdotes are attacked and the authors called ■■■■■■.

Wow, you’re really grasping at straws now. Aren’t ■■■■■■ supposed to go out in a blaze of glory rather than crawl meekly away?

Circa previous statement: you personally attack CMU students in the act of expressing your so-called ‘anecdote’. These two posters have not.

Proof as per your own words:

 1. CMU women are ugly.
 2. CMU grads r diarrhea. (You can spell ‘diarrhea’ right, but not ‘are’. Excellent.)
 3. CMU grads become failures at life.
 4. “it is full of aristocratic progeny who got rejected from top tier ivies.”

QED.

you have to say something ridiculous about pots and diarrhea first to be a ■■■■■

while getting called ■■■■■ may be repetitive, go ahead, call ■■■■■, see where that gets you, go ahead, go to CMU, graduate, and see where that takes you. What have i got to lose?

if you succeed, congratulations, but if you are not successful and stuck with tons of debt, dont say i didnt tell you.

I just thought you should know probably a couple of us are turning down offers from ivies to come here. I am.

And are you calling me ugly?

Whoa, did you know Rite-Aid started in Scranton, Pennsylvania?

After seeing completelykate’s post, I couldn’t help it:

Assume for the sake of contradiction that ChoreBoy is correct. This means that his claim that CMU grads are failures is true. However, the Carnegie Mellon graduates I’ve seen are enjoying their jobs in Google, Apple, and all the other major Silicon Valley Tech companies. Recruiters from said companies always state that they’re willing to recruit even more CMU grads because of their quality. => Contradiction! Since these grads are NOT failures at life, ChoreBoy’s claims are false.
Q.e.d.

If you’re going to do something like this, at least give it a rigorous proof.
