The truth about getting into UF?

I've heard both good and bad stories about UF admissions. I want to know what my chances are. Preferably from alumnae or recently accepted students! I have a fairly decent GPA: 3.3, before I say anything else, I just wanted to mention that during my sophomore year, I got a very severe concussion and was out of school for three months. (I had to teach myself all the material for my second semester, I was put on Hospital Homebound) So, my GPA could've been a lot better than it is now. Anyway, I'm taking dual enrollment/early college classes at Seminole State College. All of my classes are at Seminole State and I will finish the year out with 24 credit hours. My ACT is average: 23, and for my SAT I have a 1500. I have over 100 volunteer hours and have a plethora of extracurricular activities: Lacrosse, Rowing, Interact Club, VBS, Church Choir, 2 Mission Trips, etc.. I have won awards and certifications such as: Citizenship Award, Florida's Ready to Work Certification, Everfi Financial Literacy Certification.

I also applied for the Summer Term (B) and I am a legacy. My grandfather and mother went there. My grandfather was also a personal trainer for the football team in the sixties and seventies. (I don't know if that will help but it was worth mentioning)

Please let me know your opinions!

UF uses a holistic admission process, so it’s hard to nail down anyone chances, since it’s such a subjective process.

50% is GPA (must important to UF)/Test/Rigor.
50% is EC’s/Leadership/Essay

Legacy is used by UF, but it’s given very little weight.

Below is a link to UF’s 2013 Freshman profile:

If you’re below the middle 50%, then you’ll need strong EC’s to have a decent chance, otherwise UF is a reach.

Middle 50% of the Class

High School GPA of 4.1 - 4.4 (UF’s Weighted GPA)
SAT of 1780-2020
ACT of 26 - 31
