The University of Tampa Early Action for Fall 2022 Admission

My D laughed ~ she said I think they lost my application. Is your D still considering UT? It was a back up for D, so she doesn’t care but realizes this would be very stressful for others.

Not considering it at all. She has long moved on. It’s the last school we are waiting on. It’s just too long at this point that neither of us care what the outcome is.

DD still waiting applied EA…does this mean even if these kids do get in no housing???
Really poor process really wanted want my DD to attend at this point.

My son also applied EA and deferred to RD - still waiting! It’s actually crazy.

Rejected after being deferred. 4.4 GPA 1360 SAT very confused

Same with similar stats… oh well I’m sure you son has great options.

Yes hahah. I’l end up choosing another school thats much more competitive anyways. I’m assuming that your child and I were yield protected because they knew we would attend somewhere else. I don’t like to toss that term around but in this case that has to be it.

Son rejected today after being deferred EA. Also accepted today at GW so he is feeling just fine

Yes, actually UT was considered a safety and her only denial. We are heading out to San Diego State University on Sunday. She was admitted to their Webers Honors College and was her first choice, for a host of reasons.

I’m sure U of Tampa is a great fit for many and best to all that are attending!

We are from Alexandria - not sure if you are local, but if you have any questions about the DC area let me know.

Ty! We are from New England. Son really wants to visit but the COA…. Yikes! I will reach back out if we decide to visit.

Cool, good luck.

My daughter was rejected via a less than flattering/professional letter. Something of the likes of “Based on your credentials, there may be opportunities in higher education, just not with Tampa”. UTampa was her safety of safeties. Applied to 8 schools. Admitted to 7. UTampa sole rejection. She wasn’t going to attend anyway, but find the admission process a bit peculiar to say the least. Was admitted to Wake Forest, Villanova, American, Syracuse, PSU, Maryland and JMU. Bizarre.

To get in to Wake, she has to be an impressive candidate. Tampa likely knew she would never attend.

Yup sounds like the same letter for my daughter. Only rejection out of 14 applications.

Mine experienced the same. I assumed it was their yield protection.
