The University of Texas Class of 2020 Decisions Thread

I just want to take a second to point out that no matter what, you guys will be fine. Applying to a premiere school like UT means that you are at least doing something right and other schools are also probably on the table. To be able to say that you are going to college is a culmination of a lot of hard work. One rejection or acceptance will not define you in the grand scheme of life. Goodluck all of you!

I probably should be focusing in class but instead I’m constantly checking this forum, ut addmission Twitter, and MyStatus

The main word used on the UT Twitter feed late is “this weekend”. I’m actually thinking that the releases may not be until the weekend (Sat/Sun).

The main word used on the UT Twitter feed lately is “this weekend”. I’m actually thinking that the releases may not be until the weekend (Sat/Sun). I can’t remember a school releasing on the Sat or Sun. What you say?

admission office not open sat/sun…

I really don’t know if intnl applicants will get a decision today, but I really really hope so.

@IrishMac which would mean it would have to be released today???

No intl applicants wont get theirs today. You will get yours mid-April. So if admissions offices are closed sat/sun, does that mean they MUST come out today?? At somepoint?? Cant they just open offices for the weekend if they wanted to?

Last year a lot of decisions went out on February 19 if you check Twitter

Does anyone know how many total applicants UT had this year?

So today would have to be the day?

Anyone here waiting for CNS (not comp. Sci.)?

waiting to hear from COLA- so nervous

@dboss4 last year a good numbe of applicants got their decisions today. I’m not even gonna wait till Mid-April. I’ll withdraw the application

My daughter is waiting to hear from CNS as well. She applied for Biology major late October. Some of her friends with lower GPA/class rank and lower SAT/ACT score have already been accepted. Hopefully, the wait will be over today

What are ur daughter’s stats if you dont mind me asking. Particularly if she is auto-admit and her SAT score. Also, what were her friends’ stats like their ranks and SATs and wbether or not they’re auto admit

@dboss4 are you like goddamn sure we aren’t hearing today I mean the intnl applicant?

“International students should not expect their notification until mid-April.” This was the tweet from the admissions Twitter. This doesn’t mean that you won’t get it today, it just means it’s very unlikely

@dboss4 : none of them are auto admit. We are in an extremely competitive HS. My daughter has 3.89 UW and 4.96 W with class rank around 18%. She has a 33 ACT and 2050 SAT, lots of AP classes and EC with hospital volunteering, international volunteering and Doc shadowing. Considering her friends with lower class rank and 2000 SAT, no ACT, already got admitted, I am still keeping hope.

@pk2608 You could possibly hear before Mid-April but so far, this is what admissions is saying.
