The Biosciences Admission and Interviews 2013 thread is where people post their stats and the responses from programs they applied to, if you want to pass time and get info there .

What ladeeda6 said. My field is pure math. There is one other forum with extensive information on the advanced GRE math test and other related things, but I thought it would be fun to check out other fora.

CC was pretty helpful for me back when I was in high school, so I was curious to see if one can generate more interest and information on grad school admissions here, too.

Anyways, I was pretty worried about one of my applications being incomplete, so I emailed the graduate chair and he confirmed that everything was in, and that he wasn’t sure why the system showed an incomplete status either!

I applied to 6 schools for plant-related or soil science MS programs. Visited two of them (I initiated contact) during their finals week and think they went well. A prof at one school talked to me for nearly 2 hours, but I don’t know if that’s a sign of anything specific, so I won’t get my hopes up. A couple of them asked me to send them my resume and transcripts, and asked if I had submitted my application. Otherwise, I have heard nothing.

One of my recommenders has not submitted any of his letters, although he agreed to do so. Does anyone know what effect will that have on applications when one of the three recommenders doesn’t submit?
