<p>Took a college visit trip this fall and instantly knew Vanderbilt was my first choice. Applied ED like many of you, and am awaiting the word...</p>
<p>So to play that game again, here is a general overview of my app.</p>

1 gold key, 2 honorable mentions in aforementioned competition
Percussionist, Drummer, Guitarist
Over 50 school musical performances, lead percussionist in band/orchestra
Payed musician for various bands/gigs
Junior/Senior Community Service Rep
Payed internship as a Graphic Design Artist for a software company
Summer work
Strong teacher reqs (known these teachers for 7 years)
Interesting/unique essay (hard to explain, but detailed playing the drums and how they influence me)</p>
<p>That's about it. I'm not the president of the school or some ridiculous all-out scholar, but I like to think I have a slightly unique app. Any thoughts? Vandy is definitely a reach for me, but why not take the chance right?</p>
