I got accepted to UCSC as an engineering major (which has a much more competitive holistic score requirement than simply getting into UCSC as undeclared/into another major). I've read that people who scored a 4 on the holistic reviews are being waitlisted at UCSC. Assuming that a 3.5 is the bare minimum to get into UCSC (as any major other than engineering), we can safely assume that the holistic score requirement for engineering will be around 0.5-0.75 higher than this minimum score, right? So if my calculations are correct, then those who have been accepted to engineering at UCSC will have scored around a 3.00-2.75 or lower (lower is better in this case). Using this hypothetical score, all you engineering applicants to UCB/UCLA can estimate your chances for admissions at your respective campuses.

Does anyone see my points as being valid? Ms. Sun, what're your thoughts on this? Obviously, take my hypothesis with a grain of salt... I'm just speculating this calculation.
