The woes of a transfer student

Hey there. First post on this forum and I have some serious questions.

I'm currently on my second year at a Community College in Charleston South Carolina and I'm seeking to transfer out somewhere for my undergrad. I believe I have somewhere around a 3.5 to a 3.6 GPA and I am an active member of both my schools Student Ambassador program as well as an officer in my Phi Theta Kappa chapter. I also work part time as a Pharmacy technician.

As much as I love Charleston, I'm looking to get away and stretch my wings for a few years before I return for my graduate degree. I've been accepted at Winthrop and University of South Carolina, however I don't know if either of those places are far enough so I can get an entirely new experience, away from home.

I guess I'm looking for suggestions about schools within South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia that are "transfer friendly"

Thanks everyone.

You sound perfect for Chapel Hill! Read up on their pre-reqs. It’s a great school and it’s in North Carolina.

Hmm if you want to have an “entirely new experience” why don’t you apply to out of state schools? If funding is permitted, you should think about it.
