The word 'Emory' sounds so nice. What are my chances?

Class Size: 430</p>

SAT I - 730(W),800(M),780(CR)
SAT IIs will be taken this yr (im a junior) btw- how many should i take?</p>

<p>Total AP classes: Chem, Bio, government, stats, calculus, physics, american lit, spanish
& all honors classes, other than the required crap and some electives</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>Clubs and such:
Mock trial- co-captain
Model UN
Cello- 8 years</p>

<p>Athletics
Track and field: varsity, captain, all-conference, my goal is to be state ranked so possibly that, and various local medals and honors there. and dear god i hope i get the 'national silver standard' for my event by the time i complete high school because that is my real goal.
Soccer- 9 years, played for the travel team only [a higher level than just recreational], and chose not to play on the high school team for various reasons
Basketball- 10 years recreational, 1 year of freshman basketball</p>

<p>Volunteering:
Around 200 hours at a retirement home (hopefully more)
essay: reflects my passion which is taking care of the elderly/those who cannot care for themselves. an elderly relative resides with my family and I think my essay topic will be about how i do so much work to take care of her because my parents literally have no time, and there are some health problems that she has... basically it will NOT be some bogus sob story but something genuine. & i can write well so the essay should come out nicely and segue into why I want to do premed</p>

<p>Well your stats certainly surpass mine, and I got in. I can’t see you having any problems getting in at all.</p>

<p>You’ll have no problem at all. I’m pretty sure you could get into the Emory Scholars program too, with stats like that.</p>

<p>wow, your stats suck, you were just the co captain of your mock trail team and your SAT scores are absolutely amazing!! I’m pretty sure you’ll be fine :slight_smile:
If you do want some pointers though, and did you already apply or are planning to apply later, make sure the “why emory” essay is legit. Once you’ve got that down, I’m sure I’ll see you around campus sometime. Your stats and ECs are great, and you’ve got an awesome chance!</p>
