Considering, Cornell is one of the favorite schools I wanted to know what the people who are affiliated with it think of this.

On to the post.

I was wandering the livejournal, when someone I know had this clip linked and her thoughts on the issue. Of course curious as I was I watched. It made me sick. Especially since she said it with a smile on her face.

I don't know about you, but I am getting sick of people like this. I can't understand why some people think that they are such omniscient people.

I watched this video clip last week and like you, I was absolutely disgusted.

The thing that is wrong with these conservatives is that they are conservative about the wrong things. Instead of worrying about their idiotic bigotry and their shunning of science and social toleration, they should instead be enforcing their conservative views on issues like chastity and drugs - issues that their own kids face.

um what does this have to do with cornell? but anyways it seems she from some ibreed family and they all share these wack ideas, ive never heard or seen anything like this, thats horrible

Those would be the Phelpses. They're crazies we all try to ignore.
I'm more annoyed by the hosts. Colmes ranted for forty seconds and then asked her to stop ranting. They showed "PROTESTING FUNERALS!" under her for most of the story--they're just trying to be sensational by bringing up extremists they can yell at for several minutes. No one listens to the Phelps group; the only reason to bring them on the show is to demonstrate how morally superior and relatively moderate the hosts are. Grh.

I HATE THIS FAMILY. They are sooo ignorant. It's like one of those familys that has kids so that the kids can vote extremist-conservatist (no offense to conservatives because this is a total extremist family...it's just that I've seen interviews where people like that admit to doing what I just described).

"Fred Phelps showed up in Laramie with a dozen God Hates Fags picketers, but he was quickly silenced when Romaines angels showed up at the court house. Phelps and his group were surrounded by a dozen counter-demonstrators in flowing white angel costumes with 10-foot wingspans rising seven feet high. The angels turned their backs on Phelps, smiled and silently blocked him from the view of passersby at that time." It is so inspiring what these people are doing (the angels) and it truly warms my heart.
