Theatre for non-theatre majors at NYU?

Let me start off with a bit of background information about myself.

First, I have always loved the theatre. The smell, the opening night jitters, the energy of the crowd, the ability to escape one's personal reality for something different. I have been involved at school plays and musicals and regional plays for about 7 years now, and have won a couple regional awards (Most Outstanding Lead Actor, Most Outstanding production etc.)

However, because I do not plan on making the theatre a profession, I did not apply to schools as a theatre major. This brings me to my question: Are there oppurtunities at NYU to act-even if you aren't a theatre major or associated with Tisch?

Thanks for the insight.

I would love to know, too. I’m especially into theater-stuff this minute because I just got back from a performance. :slight_smile:
Edit: some student groups here: NYU;

bump…

I know for sure that there are productions open to non-majors through steinhardt and cas. These are probably student run-productions. Faculty run productions in steinhardt and tisch are probably for majors only.
