In high school, I’ve really enjoyed the creative outlet presented to me by my high school’s drama department. I enjoy it as a hobby, but not really enough to seek a career in it. I’d love to be able to participate in similar programs in college. How difficult is it for non-theatre majors to participate in these kinds of programs at Yale? Are there special productions or choral groups open to all students?
My son was exactly in your position… he is SO busy, and SO loving every production that he participates in!
Yale has an amazing program.
Yale has a huge drama scene, and much of it is entirely independent of the drama school or theater department. There are many shows each year put on entirely by students, and many of them are excellent. There are a lot of nice spaces, with built-in lights, etc. Take a look at this page for some of the upcoming and past shows: http://yaledramacoalition.org/shows
