all of us drama mamas could start a thread of theater rejections and keep it going for a lifetime…so we’re all in this together…I’ve said it before, but i think the most important traits an actor needs are determination and resilience…

It’s not easy that the drama (pun intended!) of the spring college season is magnified for our kids. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences and the best of luck in making the decisions now and in having your kids move forward with their chins up!!

55keys, your only other post was in December, when you said you were an applicant. You asked the same question and you were encouraged to read about the programs yourself.

Whoever you are, it’s not kind to the students and parents posting on this thread to talk about acceptances and scholarships. Again, if you want to know about theatre programs, read their websites and come back with real questions in an appropriate thread.

It is a totally bogus post. And very mean, very strange, and very pathetic. Wonder why, though, that 55keys didn’t also include Julliard, Purchase and London Academy. :)

Guys, don’t worry, you always get in somewhere. How many times did Thomas Edison invent the light bulb? You can get thousands of no’s but it only takes… one yes. One sweet yes.

Hey there, crawberryberry! Welcome! You might want to make sure you read the dates of thread that you pull up (and THANK you for using the search function!). This is from 2011. Unbelievably, the kids that are being referred to are now finishing up their sophomore year!!!

LOL! They certainly are! But it was really fun to read that post now.

And, as predicted my daughter is really happy at her choice and doing things I never could have predicted two years ago. And now I am the veteran parent!
