Theft at highschool- makes me sick to the stomach

i keep my calculator in my schoolbag with my books....

also my cd player. and if i had a cellphone it would be in my pocket....

If he is at PE, how can he keep stuff in his pockets? My gym uniform didn't even have pockets.

lmao ameechee. platinumtlc, have u seen the size of those calculators? they are gargantuan. Next time i will keep my valuables at home like my cd player. thanks guys. i feel better about this andi havent even slept over it. (my parnets are ****eed but they will get over it)

you think thats bad,in hs a person got his car stolen on the school lot,he was a ricer so all his good stuff was takin off or out of his car,(radio, motor mods, lights etc)the car had like atleast $5k of stuff added but not insured and when he found his car everything was taken out, it was left stock with all the additions gone and couldnt claim for them b/c he had no insurance;the only thing the person should have stolen from you should have been your calculator becasue all the other things are not needed, why would you have a cell phone when all your friedns are right in front of you, and a cd player,i see no use for it-do you eat with people or eat alone, but you pry should have put your calc in your pants pocket and then put it into the locker so it would be hidden but owell, the person will be easily tracked with the cell phone even if he makes one call, write down the time you lost it and then when the bill comes see the #'s used and then call them to see who called them(idea from court tv,best station ever)all i can say is good luck, you pry should have tried and called your cell phne if it was on and see whod answeror even try tommorwduring school but tell all the teachers in the school who evers phone rings at say 12:00 send them to the main office or something, and therirs your culprit

good idea justperfect.

I highly doubt, though, that the culprit will be carrying around a stolen cell-phone, but seeing the numbers dialed after the stolen day would be a good idea. I'm sure the guy will use it at least once.

getinside6:
I'm sorry this happened to you, but you almust must understand that **** happens in life. Think about the dot.com crash, people were losing those sums of money within seconds. Just think about all the bad things that could've happened to you and your loved ones but hasn't. I know it's stupid, but it'll still make you feel a lot better. Nobody was hurt. Nobody died......

I had my passport in my pencil case today because I had to write a test for a distance-education course, and needed to provide photo-ID.
I lost the pencil case, and did not even realize it. A teacher found it, called me down to the office and returned it to me..... I was scared ****less...

see thats why the US needs to adopt communism, we would all have the same stuff so no one would want to steal it,lol

A TI-89 won't fit in a pants pocket, unfortunately.

about the calculator, get white out and write your name all over the calculator. the white out is really hard to get off and they probably won't think it's worth the effort to steal it.

ENGRAVE your name on your calculator. Mine was stolen in gym class, too. Oddly enough. But I engraved my new one. It's hot.

insted of engraving it which can be removed with right tools, spray pasint it a blue or red,(your fav color) so not only will it tell people who you are, it will stand out like a sore thumb

I couldn't befoul my precious TI-89 with spraypaint!

I probably wouldn't spray paint my calculator either, but if that's what it takes to protect my two precious graphing friends, then that's what I'll do.

By the way, when you mark your calculators, put it EVERYWHERE. The more the merrier. A friend of mine had silver Sharpie all over the calculator cover (and just the cover, nowhere else on the calculator), and the thing was really, really old (looks old, smells old, the I/O port doesn't even work), but it was still stolen right in front of her during physics...

@ getinside6: If many of the school lockers are like this, call everybody and get them to protest the condition of the lockers. If they don't do anything, go to the district...drive everybody crazy... I hope the school catches the culprit, it supports the ideals of justice that people here don't work for...

yea i feel sorry for you guys with bad lockers, and especially locker combos that arent reset every year. at my school stuff wont get stolen if you have a lock, cuz the lockers work (schools only 7 yrs old). or if you have a dollar store lock.

I wrote "Please don't steal, okay? Thanks. Bye." on mine, and it's worked so far.

borrow a TI_ 89 from a friend for the quiz tomorrow

Dude if u think thats bad a couple of kids in my class had binders stolen.......Everything for school was in em...but to make it even worse they found them......hidden under stair cases..one even stuffed away inside a desk at the end of a hall...another I think was found in the trash in a bathroom..not coool

Sometimes, when I walk through hallways and areas where lockers are located, I'd see papers fallen out of binders, strewn everywhere; textbooks just sitting out in the middle of nowhere; binders in trash cans...

And then, someone I knew had their backpack stolen, with the whole stuff inside it, TI-89, binders, the whole semester's worth of school notes (and that really sucks before finals), the whole good stuff. Never recovered, school didn't do a thing except send the person everywhere to search.

And when I was in middle school...an upturned backpack in a trash bin.

Oh joy, this is the condition of our schools' security.

Someone broke into my roommate's younger brother's car at school this week and stole some stuff. The security cameras did not catch it. That makes me mad.

someone used the lockcutter my school has and cut open my lock, and stole my can of spray deoderant, and left my shorts and t-shirt there. lol. i didnt really care, except i had no deoderant to use after P.E. that day......good thing i wear cologne and lots of deoderant before i come to school

lol. listen to this. every other week someone since middle of first quarter, someone had been stealing my AXE. and every week id come back and put it into my locker. it happend four times already. i just thought my friends were playing with me. damn those AXE stealers. =)
