Will checking the second box, "My decision about college isn't final yet, but if I come to USC, I want to participate in Thematic Option" hurt my chances?

No, because unless you have sent in your comittment form then you haven't made a decision yet in their eyes. You're just letting them know that IF you do come to USC that you want to participate in TO.

Thank you, sir.

you're welcome.

p.s. I'm a mom :)

Thank you, ma'am.

I am sending in my TO application online. Does anybody know what Personal Identification Number means? Is it my USC ID? Something else?

Feladis, the ID is the USC ID.

Could you be so kind to direct me to the online application? My D is doing it by hand as per the app she recived at Explore, but it would be a lot more convenient to do it online. I don't think she's aware there's an online app.

Thematic Option Response Card

Yea, I just saw that it says so on the paper application.

I was sort of concerned as to why they didnt send me an invitation by mail, considering I have a 4.0 with an SAT in the 2300s (730 CR, 800 WR). Did they think my CR was low? My stepbrother got an invitation (770 CR, 790 WR), also has 4.0. Ridiculous. Ended up getting it at the Trustee presentation for TO.

^ feladis: Thank you!

My D didn't get one in the mail either. Maybe it's because students were given the info and application at the Explore session for Trustees. I also remember that students were told that as Trustees they would automatically be eligible.

I believe from what I read the selection criteria for non-trustee are 2200 SAT and straight As(or almost depends on the high school).
