What theme halls do you recommend in mesa? I want to be in a social hall, but I don't want to be in one that parties and drinks/smokes tooo much. Yet i don't want to be in a hall where the social life is dead and its all about studying. Is there a hall where there's a balance between fun and school? Any suggestions?

I’m curious to know as well. I think social hall would be fun with a lot of parties?
But I wanna know the perfect balance as well.

I’m looking forward to either be In Mesa’s “Performing Arts” or “Community Diversity” theme halls

or in Middle Earth’s “Health and Safety” hall (Although I do not like Middle Earth, yuck)

what about u guys?

what are all the halls?
&how far of a walk is mesa court from the campus?

^ Mesa is like 5-10 Minutes way from the Main Aldrich hall on foot, depends on which of the dorm buildings u are, the fartest one is a 10 mins from main aldrich hall and the closest one is right across the street.

I prefer Mesa Over ME

Both housing communities are about 10-15 mins away from anything on campus. They are both pretty much on right on campus(well mesa is across a street but…yea not much difference in location)
In terms of theme housing, from my experience in Middle Earth it matters very little. There are few theme program specific things but not really. Whether you have a good RA or not will really determine the types of stuff the hall does. As for the type of people, truthfully, I think it matters really little. I am in “intellectual something” theme in ME and the people are no more quiet and studious or loud and obnoxious than any other hall.(we have our share of both types =D)

i was actually thinking of the performing arts hall too because i love dancing to hip hop, but the thing is i’m not a great dancer. I just enjoy dancing hip hop and im scarred that by rooming in that hall, i’ll be surrounded by amazing dancers who have taken jazz, hip hop, ballet, etc. for years, and i’ll be that one random person. so does anyone know if those who live in the performing arts hall are ALL those kind of dancers? are there people who live there who just enjoy dancing?

^ I enjoy singing but I have a thick foreign accent

lol

There’s actually drama classes that work in getting rid of regional accents, I’m gonna take a class on that
