These 2017 athletes are going to these schools

Let's start a new thread since the other got derailed. Here's the thought: Just post about your kid. if you have a story, tell it. If not, while it's great that a teammate, or a classmate, or a cousin, got in, I'd like to hear from the posters.

My D is a rower going to UCLA.

My S is a triple/long jumper going to Dartmouth!

My S is a triple/long jumper going to Dartmouth!

He committed in late October, received a likely letter in early November and an official acceptance on Dec 6.

If you only want to hear from the kid or their parents, you won’t get too many replies. I know of at least 6 ivy recruits but none my kid (this year).

Agree re: derailment of other thread! They hijacked the boat ; )

Imafan, thanks for posting this thread! I never really understood why all the posts about friends, neighbors, classmate, teammates, boatmates, etc. I am not interested in where every Tom, Dick or Harry is going to school, I want to know about the kids of participants on this forum. The rest has no baring nor interest to me.

Fishy: I think the info is interesting and useful just to see where the LL’s and slots really go. Not if it’s just speculation but if you really have reliable info. Just my two cents… I do think the recruiting results threads have actually furnished far less info this year.

I am a male swimmer going to Yale!

I committed in October and received a LL in early November.

can I contribute a NESCAC acceptance? My d just got into Bowdoin…she was recruited for swimming. So glad this wait is over!

Congratulations to all of the athletes and parents posting here! LivesinHobbiton, your daughter just got herself a great coach (and he is a very good person). I think Brunswick is the nicest hometown of the NESCAC!

My son received a likely letter and ED acceptance to Columbia for heavyweight rowing. Glad it’s over too! Quite an experience!

S will be playing football at Amherst.

My son was accepted yesterday!
I want to thank everyone here for helping me through this long process. Varska, thank you for the emails. It was rough for me as a single mom and I hung on to these threads like they were a life preserver. You guys are the best.

Congratulations GarnetTide and everyone else. My S will be playing baseball for Williams (and maybe a second sport - TBD)

My D will be at Hamilton College and playing field hockey.

Thanks to all on CC for their support and advice! The information I learned on this site was extremely helpful to her!

Congrats to everyone and best wishes to those still in the process.

I will be playing softball at Washington University in St. Louis! I committed in September and got my official acceptance last week.

Thanks for a cleaner thread…
First hand knowledge from a kid we old timers have helped is better than hear-say…

S will be playing football at Pomona, was accepted ED1.

Is typing “-on” and “-aughter” too much to ask of parents on CC? Everywhere I look, I see “My D”, “My S”.
