They Are Up

^
Money, nevertheless.

Yeah, but people have been getting $20,000-$28,000 scholarships. I have a lot to pay. (sigh)

Can anyone tell me why when I check my application status, it’s still says:

Case has received your application for admission. Please review the checklist below to see if we are missing any required documents. If you have any questions, contact us at application@case.edu. …

Everybody has received theirs but how come mine is still…

You’re probably not the only one.

I have the same issue as NeKroA…all the information is in order, but there’s no decision posted, and I haven’t received a letter. I’d be less concerned if this weren’t the case at every school I applied to…

i still havent received my notification yet. it’s already april 2nd here.

As an update to my previous post, I recently submitted a 28 ACT composite. Hopefully I will get off the alternate list soon. OSU needs an acceptance fee by May 1st, and I don’t want to commit there and pay $100 just to turn my back and go to Case.

I have a question if anyone here knows the answer. Do students admitted from the alternate list receive financial aid (besides loans)? If not, $45,000+ is simply not feasible yearly.

Not to be pesty, but is there anyone who can answer my question?

The financial aid part is my main concern. If I’m not going to receive any grants/scholarships once admitted off the list, it just wouldn’t work for me. I hope I get in by May 1st, but realize that probably won’t happen.

lol I just don’t get Case… I’m in their percentiles of admitted students (I think) and they keep putting me on hold for no apparent reason.

As far as I know, your need-based aid (grants/loans) shouldn’t be affected by your waitlist status. So if your family has the appropriate need, you should still get grants and be able to avoid having only loans. Of course, I wouldn’t expect any merit scholarships coming your way. I hope things go your way though, college admissions really suck sometimes/(always)…
