Cannot ****ing believe this! Last night they FINALLY email me about my application status. But then they say that my SAT is not there even though I had submitted all of them in DECEMBER 22!

I called first thing this morning and they say they have my SAT. Relieved one second but not completely, I asked about SATIIs, and you know what? NONE of my four SAT IIs are there!!! I had sent all of my SAT I and IIs in one batch!

The guy says I can fax my 'uofficial' scores right away, which I did. But, on second thought, what if the people who actually review my scores disregard/discard my scores because what I have just sent them are clearly 'UNOFFICIAL'! GRRRRRR I can k**l them, really.

I call again and you know what? Their office is closed b.o. the storm!!

Should I spend additional money and send my scores again? Rush them for like 40 bucks? Gosh I hate this!!!

I don’t have any experience with this, but I’ll give it my best shot…

Could you send them a polite email asking them whether a) you should re-send your scores or b) they will put a note on your application indicating the situation so as not to put you at a disadvantage? You could even forward the confirmation you got for your scores, if necessary.

Otherwise, I’m sure the unofficial score report should do. The people there are concerned with how you perform, not how your performance is presented. Your score likely isn’t the first to be misplaced, so they are familiar with this type of situation.

They lost my ACT score which I sent in February with the exam itself…I just emailed them to ask what to do because I don’t really want to pay to send it again…

Also, SAT II scores are far from necessary. Not what you’re looking to hear (and all the solutions here are exactly what are needed), but if they for some reason disregard them, they won’t hurt you by not being there.

Did you send the scores online? How can they lose those if so? Did you get a receipt or a confirmation from Collegeboard when you sent those scores to NU? Maybe you could show NU the confirmation and prove to them that it’s not your fault. Also, print the page with your scores from collegeboard.com and fax it to them. I think that should be reliable enough for them to accept since it’s their fault.

^ Exactly! How can they lose a portion of my scores - sat iis- that I had sent through CB electornically? I really truly wholeheartedly hope they can retrieve my missing scores!

Anyhow, thank for your helpful advice, everyone!

I converted some CB pages into jpg files and emailed them, additionally. Their fax is not working somehow.

I hope things work out but I think I will prolly end up having to rush my official scores to NU. SIGH!

Just so you know, Northwestern (that’s NU, not NW) is closed today because of the blizzard. I want to suggest again that anyone who has this problem should email their regional representative, explain the situation, and ask for advice.

I agree with momof3sons but want to add, because you are so frustrated, justifiably, it does not matter whose fault it is. Blaming and yelling will only leave a bad impression so word your email carefully. These things happen everywhere, things get misplaced, lost in space, etc. it’s how it’s handled from that point that matters.
