when did u guys apply? i applied right at the deadline... so it'll be awhile more for me...

i sent mine somewhere around 12/20. so i got my response about 45 days later or so.

I applied 12/09, got mine 2/07

Have any of you visited UPS and where does it stand on your lists of schools? My D was also accepted early in Feb. / w an $8000 scholarship. Some of her other top choices include Stanford - deferred EA, Tufts, Wesleyan, Vassar, Colgate and Whitman. She's been accepted at 3 UCs and Univ. of Washington, but UPS remains her top choice, for the moment.

Even if she is accepted to any of these schools, with the exception of Stanford, where she has wanted to go since she was 7 years old (father is legacy), I think that there is a good chance she will choose UPS.

It seems that UPS is hoping to entice top students with merit scholarships and I'm wondering if they will be successful. My D loved the school when we visited and was seriously considering it even before she was accepted with the scholarship. Curious to know why you applied and what your chances of attending might be.

for me, UPS was the absolute safety. but now that ive gotten in to carleton and grinnell(with 12k/year) i def wont be attending. my list is pomona, dartmouth, rice, uchicago, amherst, washu, grinnell, carleton, wesleyan, ups, ku. in that order. now all i can do is look creepy in front of my neibhors and check the mail at least 2x a day. oh....the wait....

Kosuke, Congratulations on your admittances and good luck with the rest of your choices.

Anybody else serious (or not) about UPS?

its one of my top choices. also applied to willamette, pitzer (deferred EA) and Pomona (my dream school & a super-reach.) the choice will be on financial aid for me.

Yes, definitely one of my top choices. Everything they do there just seems awesome.

They redesigned the website, you all should go check it out:

http://www.ups.edu

Liam, congratulations on your acceptance at U of Rochester. Are you planning on attending or are you still considering Puget Sound. My D was waitlisted at Colgate and rejected at the remaining 6 of her top choice schools. Despite these rejections, she seems to be very excited at the prospect of attending Puget Sound.

I'm going to puget sound next year for sure

It looks like you and my D are the only two on CC who are going to Puget Sound. She's already found some others on MySpace under Univ. of Puget Sound. I'm still wondering if anyone else on CC is considering it.

I'm for sure going, too. I visited the school last week and I loved it.

i might be going. gotta decide between ups and willamette

Princess, just wondering if you've made up your mind yet between UPS and Willamette. My D visited Puget Sound last week for an overnight and sat in on two classes. She still loves it and we sent in her deposit. She just finished telling all of her other acceptances that she will be attending Puget Sound in the fall! Hope everyone feels as good about their decisions as she does about hers.

honestly, no idea. leaning towards willamette, but my parents wont talk money with me. so hopefully i will know by may 1st lol

Princess, which one did you choose?
