<p>My mom told me a plain white envelope came in the mail today while I was gone with my school's Academic Challenge (Quiz Bowl) team. When I got home, I opened it and since just based on the envelope itself, I could tell what it meant (This is my second rejection after one I recieved last night). </p>
<p>Of course I'm disappointed, Northeastern being one of my top schools, though I did apply to some other more challenging admission wise schools. I am still waiting for those and I'm starting to despair. I do have to realize though that other people have been rejected from NE and some ofthem had it as their first choice.</p>
<p>I do wish to congratulate all of those who did get accpeted and wish you the best of luck for this upcoming semester.</p>
<p>crap..my list was cleared thursday too - so far everyones list that cleared thursday was rejected...</p>
<p>mine was cleared thursday. nothing came today. still can't log in. not liking this developing trend. black thursday will live in infamy.</p>
<p>lol.. well ok that makes two of us that didnt get rejected as of yet..my girlfriends list cleared thursday as well and she got her rejection letter today. i hope i dont get rejected..i have good stats =</p>

<p>yeah, i don't have a gpa and i'm in a graduating class of six so i'm not sure if i have good stats or not, probably not. i didn't take the sat, i took the act once, did fairly well i suppose. neu is my first choice eventhough i applied to an ivy and a couple uc's. also i'm broke so i had a fee waiver on the application but still i would try to appeal a rejection</p>

<p>And could the rejections have anything to do with majors? I applied for Journalism, but so far as I can remember, no one has said anything about that. </p>

<p>As for stats.... 3.5 uw GPA, 28 ACT, lots of extracurricular/leadership, very good recs, class rank 23% or something similar... ?? (Just checked ACT/SAT conversion and 28 is ~1240-1270)</p>
